MaxMax
Did you ever wish that a section of your screen could be kept from being covered with windows when you maximize them. For example, you may have desktop widgets, sticky notes, a launcher, or other tools or content that you would like to be able to always access. If so, then you should check out this free software MaxMax, a simple Windows tweak that keeps your maximized windows from covering margins that you define in any of the 4 sides of your screen.
This is very straightforward software that lives in the background, consumes a very little 8 megs or so in memory, and, kicks in whenever you maximize a window, re-aligning it in real time as per your defined margins.
More notes:
- Temporarily Override: by maximizing while pressing left shift by default.
- 4 sides: define a margin for any or all of the 4 sides of the screen.
- Disable: via the system tray icon.
- Windows 7 Aero Snap: doesn’t mess up the Windows 7 Aero Snap maximizing to the sides of the screen (your margins will be covered in this case), , which is great.
Version tested: 1.12
