The interesting thing is that once you applied several effects on your picture you can easily remove those effects one by one, without removing the other applied effects. You can also add text boxes in your picture easily.
PhotoPad supports around a dozen picture formats, the most popular ones like bitmap, jpeg, png or even targa files (tga) or Photoshop documents (psd).
If you want a tool that can make basic corrections to your pictures without getting too complicated PhotoPad might be a solution. There are a few basic effects and corrections available, enough to suit the basic needs of a not very demanding user.
