IZArc
Overview
IZArc is a freeware archive utility that can compress and decompress virtually any type of archive file. It can also handle CD image files.
Review
You can’t use a PC nowadays without an archive utility program. After you install Windows for example you will definitely have an archived file to unpack sooner or later. It’s just like when you move into a new home, you have to unpack some boxes and get your stuff out.
My favorite archive utility was until now TUGzip, mostly because it was the only program from those that I tested that managed to unpack a problematic .rar archive. I’ve been using TUGzip for a few months now, and there are no problems to report. But since many of you recommended that I should give IZArc a try I decided to run a little comparative test and see which one is better. I didn’t use a stopwatch, but on a first impression IZArc is a little bit faster than TUGzip.
