Spyware Terminator
Before I tested Spyware Terminator, I had used Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy to fight spyware in my PC, with mixed results. One day I decided I needed a more powerful program. I was looking for great detection rates, fast scanner, multiple cleaning options and real time protection that can be turned on and off. I compared opinions of users and expert reviews of various programs, both free and for purchase, and I concluded that Spyware Terminator is the program I wanted. It is free, it doesn’t take long to download and it is recommended by many home users and experts.
I downloaded Spyware Terminator and scanned my 120GB hard drive in a few minutes. It found several infections that previous programs were not unable to detect. Removing them was an easy job.
In my opinion, Ad-Aware Personal edition was not that great and Spyware S&D, although having a great detection rate, was very slow and the scan took too long to complete.
Spyware Terminator is great in every way. It is fast, it detects most spyware and includes real time protection that can be turned off. Once threats have been detected, it explains the seriousness of those threats and gives you options to remove them rather than doing everything by itself. You can select which ones you want to remove or if you don’t care, remove all threats easily with a single click.
I was quite annoyed by the constant pop ups from Spyware S&D real time protection and wanted a new program that had this option but with the possibility to turn it off. Spyware Terminator’s real time protection can be disabled if you don’t want it, although I recommend you use it for obvious security reasons.
Spyware scan includes 3 options: fast and basic spyware scan, a full scan and a custom scan. You can also schedule periodic spyware scans.
Spyware Terminator includes free support and it is licensed for home and commercial use.

In conclusion, I can say that it’s a very good free antispyware program but it may not be the best as I haven’t tried all of them. There will always be programs that are better at something. But Spyware Terminator gives very good protection against spyware, fast scan, easy removal and best of all, it’s FREE!
