Kompozer is an open source web authoring program, featuring web file management and an WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) web page editor.

I’m not a HTML or CSS expert, I must admit, so when I thought about choosing a freeware web authoring program I wanted to have a WYSIWYG program. Kompozer is open source and multi platform, so it looks quite promising already.

I pasted my website’s HTML source into Kompozer and played around with it for a while. Honestly, I didn’t expect it to be that easy to use. And the fact that it uses tabs is just great. You can edit your site directly from Kompozer, through the FTP site manager. It also includes a CSS editor and an automated spellchecker.
