Subtitle WorkshopSubtitle Workshop is a well known free program, used by many people around the globe. If you didn’t use it yet, take your chance. If you need to fix subtitles, translate, edit them or even make subtitles from scratch this is the tool for you.
The thing I liked about Subtitle Workshop is that it deals with almost all the possible file formats around, from .aqt to the widespread .srt format. You can preview the video inside the application or launch an external player such as BsPlayer.
The program has an useful spell check module where you can have your errors corrected in no time. The keyboard shortcuts, useful for the advanced user, are entirely customizable. The subtitle appearance is also highly customizable: you are able to customize foreground color, background color (or transparent), show border or not, show shadow or not, border and shadow’s width of the subtitles.
